Getting started

Your media. A few simple steps.

A guide to using NALYVO on a phone, tablet or Android TV. Button labels may differ depending on the app’s language.

  1. Install from Google Play

Check your device’s compatibility, then open the official listing with your Google account. Installation depends on your device and the access conditions shown by Google Play.

If installation is available, choose ‘Install’, or ‘Update’ if the app is already installed. The app’s identifier is com.nalyvo.app. On Android TV, use the same account in your TV’s Play Store.

  2. Add your own sources

NALYVO is a player: it does not supply a catalogue or media to watch. Only use content you own or are authorised to use.

On the home screen, choose ‘Add M3U’ for a media list accessible through a URL. If your own server uses an Xtream connection, choose ‘Add Xtream’ and enter its address and your credentials. Prefer HTTPS when your server supports it.

Confirm the connection, then select it to load its content. Never share your list’s private URL or password.

  3. Choose a media item and start playback

Open the source you added, choose an item and start playback. On a phone, use the touch controls. On Android TV, navigate with the remote’s arrows and confirm with OK.

If your source has changed, use ‘Refresh’ on the home screen. Playback quality also depends on the file, server, connection and your device’s decoding capabilities.

  4. Set up your device from another screen

In NALYVO, open ‘This device’ and note the identifier and code shown. Open NALYVO Connect on a phone or computer and enter both values. If you set a personal code, enter it too.

Manage this device’s sources, then start synchronisation from ‘This device’ or refresh the app. You do not need an administrator account to use Connect.

Keep the code private: it gives access to your device’s configuration. If someone has seen it, renew it in the app.

  5. If something gets stuck

If installation is refused, first check your Google account and the access conditions in the Store. For an empty source, check its URL and your credentials. If playback stops, try another authorised media item and check your connection.

Treat a Google Play verification message separately: do not disable your device’s protections. Check the FAQ or contact support with your model, Android version, NALYVO version and the exact message. Hide your codes and credentials in screenshots.
